Description

Aquavap is a water-soluble corrosion inhibitor concentrate that provides both contact and vapour phase (VCI) protection to the internal surfaces of equipment such as pumps, valves, pipework, fire extinguishers, boilers, heat exchanges & hydraulic systems.

Whereas conventional corrosion inhibitor additives only provide protection to wetted surfaces Aquavap contains compounds that volatilise and provide additional protection to headspaces above the liquid contact level.

Aquavap protects in two ways: by direct contact with metal parts which have been coated by brush, dip, spray, etc and dried; and by the inhibitor vapours which are slowly released from the coating or the liquid as supplied.

Features

• Suitable for use an additive to test water or aqueous systems (3-5%)
• Protects during pressure testing, leak testing, after cleaning
• Compatible with most ferrous and non-ferrous metals
• Provides contact and vapour phase corrosion inhibition

Application

Aquavap should ideally be dissolved in demineralized water at 3-5% to suit the requirements of the process conditions. Ensure thorough mixing or recirculation has been carried out to provide a homogeneous solution and consistent protection. Refer to the product safety data sheet for guidance on safe handling, storage, and disposal. Storage Aquavap should be stored in original, unopened packaging, out of direct sunlight at temperatures between 5°C and 35°C.
