Description

Molychain CM-220 is a mineral oil based product specifically
formulated to lubricate and protect chain systems. Molychain CM-220 contains a high purity
base oils that have been carefully selected to deliver optimum lubricity. The advanced additive
systems minimizes friction, wear and provides excellent corrosion protection to the chain.
Molychain CM products are suitable for use in numerous applications and environments: Service
temperatures up to 150°C are possible thanks to good thermal stability. The product’s high level of corrosion
protection allows it to be used in areas of high humidity and water exposure.

The highly adhesive and cohesive nature of Molychain CM-220 minimises drip and fling off and allows it to be used in
applications such as overhead chains or where potential contamination must be minimised.

Application

Molychain CM products should be used as supplied. They are suitable for application by pump, drip or other common lubrication methods. They can also be used in immersion tanks to lubricate new chains post manufacture. Lubrication tanks and systems should ideally be drained and flushed prior to introduction.

ARVINA FM2 is an excellent gearbox grease. Purchased to refill the gearbox on a kitchen mixer, which requires food safe grease. I coated the planetary track and gear. The result was the mixer sounded quieter. I recommend this grease for similar applications.
