MOLYVALVE 4 is a fully synthetic valve lubricant and sealant for all types of gate and plug valves. Thecombination of synthetic base fluid, solid lubricants, corrosion inhibitors and stabilisers ensure that

MOLYVALVE 4 has excellent resistance to chemicals. The product acts as a lubricant to the valve components and will assist in maintaining or regaining sealing performance to minimise leakage.

MOLYVALVE 4 contains a high-performance blend of low friction solid lubricants (PTFE & MoS2) to reduce friction of valve actuation reducing torque requirements and ensure consistent operation whilst preventing valve seizure. The synthetic base fluid and thickener system is highly resistant to hydrocarbons and other produced fluids encountered in the oil and gas exploration and production process.

MOLYVALVE 4 is designed to be injected into the valve body by means of a high-pressure lubricator across a wide operating temperature range of -50°C to +260°C.

Application

MOLYVALVE 4 should be used in accordance with the valve manufacturer’s instructions and lubrication schedule.

MOLYVALVE 4 is designed to be injected into the valve body by means of a high-pressure lubricator. For general use MOLYVALVE4 can be applied manually or by using suitable application equipment e.g. grease gun, keg pump, automatic systems suitable for handling NLGI 2 greases.

Check compatibility with the grease used previously and if necessary, purge prior to application.
