Description

Steelgard X64 series products are premium performance coatings specifically designed for the protection of external surfaces of Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG).

The X64 series is based on synthetic thermoplastic resins that provide high levels of coating durability thanks to their excellent
weathering and UV resistance properties.

The tough but flexible film resists flaking and cracking to provide long term protection from atmospheric corrosion.

Steelgard X64 is available in both a clear and black coating:

X64B – Black
X64C – Clear

Features

Application

Steelgard X64 products are supplied ready for use and can be applied by brush, roller or spray applied by either airless or air-assisted systems.

Surfaces to be treated should first be cleaned to remove dirt, debris, pre-existing surface rust etc. If aqueous cleaners have been used it is advised that these are thoroughly dried prior to application.

Adequate surface preparation is vital to achieve the optimum coating life and protection. Refer to the product safety data sheet for guidance on safe handling, storage and disposal.

ARVINA FM2 is an excellent gearbox grease. Purchased to refill the gearbox on a mixer, which requires food safe grease. I coated the planetary track and gear. The result was the mixer sounded quieter. I recommend this grease for similar applications.
