Description

TAP Plus is a range of high performance lubricants designed for severe metal working operations such as drilling, reaming and tapping. They are highly concentrated mixtures of lubricity, extreme pressure and anti-wear additives.

TAP Plus products are formulated to meet the latest health, safety and environmental standards – all of the products in the range are free from mineral oil, short and
medium chain chlorinated paraffins and other hazardous components.

TAP Plus products provide excellent surface finish to components and protect tooling from wear and damage.

TAP Plus comes available in the following forms:

– Liquid: 350ml
– bottle, 400ml aerosol and 5ltr
– poly container, 205ltr drum

They are suitable for drilling, reaming and tapping (spiral point, spiral flute and fluteless) operations on most commonly encountered workpiece materials (it is advised that compatibility with non-ferrous metals is checked prior to use as the sulphurised extreme pressure additives may interact and result in surface discolouration).

Application

To obtain optimum performance TAP Plus should be used as supplied. Apply directly to either the tool or workpiece. Do not apply to rotating tools.

For aerosol application shake can well before use and spray from a distance of 15-30cm (6 to 12 inches).

TAP Plus liquid can also be used as a supplement to boost the performance of neat cutting oils used in lathes and milling machines etc.

The recommended addition rate is 5 - 10% concentration - check compatibility with the oil to be treated before use.
