Description

Steelgard X12 is a specially formulated moisture-displacing corrosion preventative designed to provide indoor protection of metallic components for up to 12 months.

Steelgard X12 is based on a unique blend of high-quality corrosion inhibitors, oils and waxes specially selected to deposit a thin oil-like film which facilitates ease of removal prior to either secondary operations or components being put into service.

Steelgard X12 is available in both a fluid and spray form, ensuring our corrosion prevention can meet any manufacturing application.

The applied film also has self-healing properties which protects against removal by accidental scuffs, scrapes and handling of components during storage. Steelgard X12 utilises low-odour hydrocarbon solvents and is barium free to minimise health and safety issues and maximise operator acceptability.

Application

Steelgard X12 should be used as supplied. Steelgard X12 can be used in dip-tanks, brushed or decanted into sprays for application.

Alternatively the aerosol version can be utilised for small areas or precision application. Refer to the product safety data sheet for guidance on safe handling, storage and disposal.
