OVERVIEW
Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok, in Jakarta, is one of the busiest seaports in the region handling 50% of Indonesia’s trans-shipment cargo traffic. Subjected to extreme environmental stresses, the equipment at the port is maintained by PT. Jasa Peralatan Pelabuhan Indonesia (“JPPI”).
JPPI approached Molyslip looking for an alternative to a competitor product. The product in use was causing wire rope compressive diameter reduction and bleeding on port cranes.
OUTCOME
Molyslip WRL-S10
Molyslip WRL-S10 outperformed the competition with the following results after a 3-month trial application:
- Reduced lubricant consumption by 62% over the course of 3 months
- Over three months there were zero signs bleeding of water wash off
- Compared to previously used products, WRL-S10 showed considerably better wear protection and zero wire rope compression
