Description

Glasstek MPC Spray is a resin-bonded, graphite-based lubricant specifically formulated for use in the glass container manufacturing industry. Its combination of high-purity graphite and a temperature-resistant resin binder provides an optimal balance of coating adhesion, lubrication, and release performance.

Glasstek MPC Spray can be applied to both blank and finish moulds as required. Owing to its excellent release properties, blank moulds treated with Glasstek MPC Spray can be started dry, eliminating the need for initial swabbing. Additionally, swabbing intervals can be significantly extended, helping to reduce downtime and improve overall production efficiency.

Application

Shake can well before use.

Ensure mould surfaces are free from dust, debris and previous coatings.

Before application of Glasstek MPC Spray clean the surface with a suitable solvent cleaner such as Molyslip Slipclean RD.

Spray from a distance of 15cm to 30cm to apply a thin even coating. Once the film is dry a second coat can be applied (note: 2 thin films are preferable to one heavy application).

Prior to entering service the Glasstek MPC Spray film should be cured at a minimum temperature of 230°C for 30 minutes. Higher temperature will reduce the curing time.
